Program Registration Help
Q: How/Where do I register my child?

A: Each club or organization manages its own registration process. To register, you will need the specific registration link provided by your club. This link is typically shared via email or posted on the club's website. Please contact your club administrator for assistance. 

 

Q: I’m getting an error: “No Payment Plans Available” during registration.

A: This error means no payment plans have been set for the registrant’s age or gender. Only the Club/Organization Admin can resolve this. Please contact them directly. For more information, refer to this guide: No Matching Payment Plans – Parent Help Guide

 

Q: I’d like to request a refund.

A: GotSport is the registration software provider, but all payments go directly to your club through their own merchant account. GotSport cannot process refunds. Please contact your club administrator directly.

 

Risk Management Help
Q: Risk Management requirements are not showing on my dashboard.

A: Contact your Team Manager or Coach, who can coordinate with your Club Administrator to ensure your affiliations and competitive level are properly set.

 

Q: Why can’t I change my child’s personal information (e.g., name, date of birth, profile photo)?

A: If fields are locked or greyed out, it means the information has been verified and locked by your governing association. Only the governing association can unlock this data. Please contact your club admin to request assistance.

 

Q: My child’s birth certificate needs to be verified.

A: Document verification is handled by the governing association, not GotSport. Please reach out to your club, which will communicate with the appropriate governing body.

Q: Can I request a specific team, manager, or roster placement?

A: GotSport does not manage team assignments. Please contact your club administrator directly with any team-related requests.

 

Q: I don’t see my child’s club or team listed in their profile.

A: Click “Roles” within your child’s profile to view associated clubs and teams. If nothing appears, reach out to your Team Manager, Coach, or Club Administrator.

 

Q: I need team information (schedule, practices, coach details).

A: This information is managed by your club. GotSport only provides the registration platform. Please contact your club directly for team-related details.

Manager/Coach FAQ

Q: What does my Background Check status mean?

A: Please refer to this Risk Management Support Document for an explanation of background check statuses.

 
Q: Why aren’t my Risk Management Requirements showing on my dashboard?
  1. Click the Roles tab in your profile to confirm you are associated with a Club and listed as a Coach or Manager. If not, contact your Club Admin who can add you to the team.
  2. Ensure your date of birth is correctly entered in your profile.
  3. If the requirements still don’t appear, reach out to your Team Manager/Coach or Club Administrator to verify that your affiliations and competitive level are properly set.
 
Q: My SafeSport status isn’t showing as complete.
  • You must complete one of the following:
    • SafeSport Trained – U.S. Soccer Federation (Core Training)
    • SafeSport Refresher 1, 2, or 3
    • After Refresher 3, you will need to retake the Core Training.
  • Ensure your first name, last name, and email address match exactly in both SafeSport and GotSport. (For example, “Tom” vs. “Thomas” will prevent syncing.)
  • Once matched, use the "Check Records" button in GotSport to sync your completion status.
  • If syncing fails, contact your Club Admin, who can coordinate with your governing association for further help.
 
Q: Why can’t I change my name, date of birth, or profile photo?

A: If these fields are locked or greyed out, it means your information has been verified and locked by your governing association to ensure profile integrity. Only your governing association can unlock this. Please contact your Club Admin to initiate that request.

 

Q: Why can’t I see my team in GotSport?
  • If you don’t see any teams under the Team Management tab, this means that you have not been added to the team. Contact your Club Admin to be added.
  • If your club confirms you're on the team, you may have duplicate accounts. Your Club Admin can merge these accounts and should contact GotSport Support if needed.
